Fischerbach lies in the heart of the Northern Black Forest. The idyllic village is in the center of the triangle formed by the towns of Freiburg i.B., Villingen-Schwenningen and Offenburg. From any of these towns, it is only a 30 - 45 minute drive to Fischerbach. If you are on the A5 highway heading south, take the Lahr exit (Ausfahrt Lahr) and go on towards Villingen-Schwenningen/Hausach/Haslach. Shortly after you pass Haslach, the road will branch off towards Fischerbach. If you are on the A5 highway heading north, we recommend taking the Freiburg exit and traveling toward Waldkirch and Haslach. If you are on the A81 heading north, simply take the Villingen-Schwenningen exit. If you are heading south, take the Schramberg exit. After you pass Hausach, the road will branch off to Fischerbach.
Here's what to do once you reach Fischerbach:
If you're traveling from Haslach, you will see the uma building when you enter the village. Follow the main road past the small yellow road sign with the name "Fischerbach" on it, announcing that you have just entered the village. Take the first street to your right after you pass this sign. If you're traveling from Hausach, take the second street to your left after you pass this yellow sign.
You should immediately see our visitor parking spaces in the street called 'Fritz-Ullmann-Weg'. Welcome to uma.
