Pad printing (T)

This involves producing a printing plate from a template (e.g. depicting a logo) that is then applied to the promotional item using a rubber plate - as you would with a stamp.

The advertising surface that can be used in this way occupies a maximum height of 2/3rds of the diameter of the diameter on cylindrical writing instruments. The advantages of this technique over screen printing come into play when printing non-cylindrical printing surfaces, e.g. concave or convex ones.
